Who Am I?

What started this blog?

My name is Darrell Wolfe. My family and I moved here, to Fort Worth Texas, like so many from southern California. We actually packed some duffel bags and hopped on the Amtrak Train with two kids. I did live in the north panhandle of Texas for a few years as a young child, and we felt called to come out, so we did. 

However other than that brief stint I was born and raised in southern California. I lived in Riverside and Orange counties all of that time. I spent my whole life feeling like I was "from" Texas because of the few years I spent here as a young boy. I told everyone I was from Texas.

Now that I live here it is painfully obviously I am a So Cal kid. I'm getting used to Texas life though and enjoying it. However I did have some trouble settling in and didn't find a whole lot of help on the Internet. Not as much as I would have expected. Californians have a website for everything. In Texas more than 50% of businesses still have no web presence.

So I was sitting around with my lovely wife and talking about all the random blogs I wasn't working on anymore and the idea came to mind. "See a need, fill a need", from animated movie Robots. I have been asked by so many people who have moved here from other states: "Where is good place to eat?", "Who is a good mechanic?", "How long do I have until I have to get a new License after moving here?", "How do I move my registration for my car?", etc, etc... 

I've compiled an ever growing "Resources" page with links to articles I've written in answer to these questions, as well as a links to other helpful sites and resources to help you Navigate LIFE in Fort Worth Texas. 

This site will be part referral source, part relocation guide and assistance and a large part reviews. If you have moved here, are moving here, or thinking of moving here, I hope I can be of some assistance and help you transition smoother. I would Start HERE.
