IN-N-OUT BURGER - Fort Worth

In-N-Out Burger

In-N-Out Burger is debatabley the the best fast food burger in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD!!!!
No matter where you go, all through southern California and now in Texas, they are consistently the same. Fresh ingredients, Fresh cooked, Yummy!! I read a review from someone who thought that a McDonalds pre frozen, maybe it's beef maybe it's not, processed burger was the same as the In-N-Out burger he had. That person should not be trusted, for anything. Did someone actually give a person like that a drivers license?
After all the ranting is over what makes this restaurant so different? Why do people attach themselves to In-N-Out as though it were part of their family, and defend food so passionately?

Fresh

Well to start everything is fresh. I invite you to check out their website and hear about the quality controlled process they go through from the meat they use, in house patty making, and freshest veggies and cheeses; to the lack of other things fast food restaurants usually use such as microwaves and heat lamps! If you don't like In-N-Out it's probably because you've been living on processed junk-semi-not really-quite-food for far too long!
See their site for their quality process: http://www.in-n-out.com/freshness.asp. The reason they haven't been in Texas until now is they only build stores within a certain distance of their factories. But they decided to build a second factory in Texas to build on that region. They keep it fresh!

Atmosphere

Then there is the atmosphere. The words: Clean, Fresh, and Wholesome, all come to mind. In fact, no where does that standard seem more apparent that down town Fort Worth. In an old city full of lots of dark red brick, much of which is falling apart, stands a city on a hill, a lighthouse of freshness. If you see the contrast of the building to the buildings around it you are taken back by it's clean appearance. The uniforms are white with bright red aprons. There is always someone to say hello and smile.
They pay better than any fast food restaurant on the market with full benefits available. They almost exclusively only promote from within. Even with restaurant and management experience you may have to start at the bottom and work up if you want to manage an In-N-Out! They hold employee events each year! Happy employees make happy customers!

Catering

They also run trucks for catering events. http://www.in-n-out.com/cookout_trailer.asp. The trucks are a welcome site to employees on a lunch break or special event. There was an air of excitement the day my bosses in Orange, CA had the In-N-Out truck over for the celebration party!
What else makes them different? The previously stated facts would be enough on their own. They would explain why SO MANY people love In-N-Out burger about all else. What it doesn't explain is the almost total devotion so many have to this restaurant. People live for years outside of California (And not Texas) and the first place they want to go when arriving by plane is not home or hotel, but In-N-Out! Why? What makes them so special? What is the extra something that can't be quantified?

Christian Owned

Jesus! The owners are Christian. Not just in word or association. They are Christian to their core. There are bible verses on the food wrappers and cups. This restaurant is privately owned for a reason. They have not sold out their heritage. I predict that is the cause of their success! The day they are no longer dedicated to Christ, or putting verses on their scripture (Which would happen if they went "Public") is the day this restaurant ceases to be what made it great! Christians, more than any other group, are dedicated to this restaurant! There are only a few shining examples of Christian owned business that operate in the Excellence that Jesus calls us to, and excellence that exceeds that of the world or the religious pharisees. In-N-Out, Chick-fil-a, and a precious few others are paving the way, and have been for years. See the great snopes article on this: http://www.snopes.com/business/alliance/inandout.asp. They are a shining example of how we can live out the message Paul left us in his letter to the Thessalonians.
1 thessalonians 4:11
11 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands, just as we commanded you...

The quiet message of the Gospel permeates everything they do. Not just the scriptures on the wrappers, but the excellence they walk in. The way they treat employees, food quality, and purity in all their actions. As a company owned by a family that loves God, they are a shining light. They are aren't picketing clinics, or yelling on street corners. They aren't overt in their message. But people have been finding those verses and looking them up for decades! Keep it up In-N-Out! As long as you remain true to who you are and have been we will remain true to you!
